Sentinel IPS^TM signs first European Distributor

EcoNet.com, Inc. has entered into an agreement with Infraview Solutions B.V. of The Netherlands for sales and distribution of EcoNet's Sentinel Intrusion Prevention System, in the Benelux countries. Infraview Solutions B.V. will provide 1st tier sales and service support, but continuing product development, support, and monitoring will come from EcoNet in the United States.

Commenting on the new arrangement, David A. Lissberger CEO for EcoNet, said, "This is our first chance to sell the product abroad, although we have had interest in several other foreign markets. Our strategy of selling the appliance on a monthly fee basis, thus avoiding high capital expenditure for the end user, fits well with established European buying habits."

Of specific interest to IT managers in The Netherlands is the use of "Network Cloaking"TM as a tool in preventing intrusions into private networkds. IP addresses protected by Sentinel are invisible to malicious IPs. Hackers and other malicious users are unable to communicate with the cloaked network, while normal network traffic remains unaffected.
